Blinds for your Bathroom Windows

Posted on May 29, 2019

Making NYC bathroom remodeling plans entails different things for everybody. If you are looking to include blinds in your bathroom design but aren’t really sure about what kind, then this article is for you. You don’t need to be an expert in NYC bathroom design to fully appreciate how unique each type of blinds are or to picture how they might look in your bathroom.

The biggest difference between curtains and blinds is that blinds are more flexible when it comes to how much natural light you want and that blinds also offer more privacy. The shape of your window will also play a big factor in what type of blinds you should get. A few examples of windows are sash windows, french windows, and bay windows just to name a few.

Roman blinds

These appear like a long thin curtain with creases. These are subtle and are placed overhang upon the window frame. The number of creases can vary but it is generally nicer to have an odd number of creases that are also few.

Venetian blinds

These are the most common blinds and are found in all sorts of rooms. They are slated and can be made out of various materials such as wood, plastic, or even metal. Remember, you can place these either outside or inside the window frame.

Roller blinds

These are similar to Roman blinds except they fold more neatly as they are rolled rather than fold between creases,

Gathered blinds

These blinds are composed of collected folds of fabric that usually have scallop shapes designs on the lower portion. These are sophisticated and elegant and a good choice for those who want their windows to become a focal point.
